The environment you work in should motivate people. You want them to be motivated over long periods of time, and you can do this with positivity in the work environment. You also can not motivate someone for a long time if it isn’t done on a short term basis. People get motivated in the short term by the people they work with, receiving good feedback, and learning things each day. When someone is motivated in this way they start to motivate their self. When people have self-motivation, it is the little things that matter and will help to keep them going.
Another way to help get employees motivated is to have a positive atmosphere. It is pretty easy to do this. You should keep in mind how the employees feel to do this. Think about what would make them more comfortable in your work environment that still is professional.
