Using Postcards for Marketing

If you want to keep attracting customers, you have to constantly get your business’s name out there. It may be hard if you are on a strict budget or don’t have enough cash. There are options for people who can’t spend a lot but need a good marketing strategy. One of these options is postcard marketing.

You can try creating the design for the postcard, or hire a designer to do it. Postcards should be printed on 67# card stock to meet mailing requirements. You should also have a paper cutter on hand because there will be more than one card on a sheet. The best part is that postage is cheaper on a postcard!

There are several ways to use postcards:

-You can use them for referrals by sending them out to your best customers and asking them for the referrals.

-Use them for event announcements. Let customers know when your sales are or when other special events are happening.

-Use them to get prospects. Send out mailers to prospects before calling them.

-Use postcards to get more traffic on your website. Tell people on your postcards what your web address is and some features you offer.

-Use them to expand your newsletter mailer list. You can advertise your newsletter on your postcard and list some of the current articles on it.

-Use them to make offers. Do you have any giveaways or is there a discount you can give customers. This will interest people.

-Use them to say thank you. Don’t just try to get sales all the time. People like to know they are appreciated. You can say thank you for giving you their business.

Don’t forget you need a good mailing list; it should be targeted to people who could use your products and benefit from them. Your responses will be much higher if this is done. You will need more than one mailing to be successful. Keep sending them out consistently and you will find a great response. If you do everything right, you will more than make up for the cost of your mailers.
