Rules of Marketing

How successful you are at marketing will depend on the method you use to get it done. There are four different areas to a marketing procedure. To expand your marketing procedure you will need to attract, change, leverage and maintain. With these things and other values of marketing, you will have success.

1. How you package your product or service will make or break you. What you sell, has everything to do with the total packaging product. If you package a service, it means you are packaging an offer. Your packaging will consist of the many offers you might have for a potential client.

2. Another rule is to make your self unique from your competitors. You have to know what is different about your business and communicate that in all your messages so it is easily distinguishable to your audience. You need to use you differences to influence others to choose you .

3. The principle of repeated business means retaining lifelong clients. Keep many of these clients and sell to them over and over. A one-time buyer only brings short-term revenue.

4. The rule of frequency; stay in touch with your clients often. A lot of companies fail because they don’t or can’t do this.

5. Having multiple streams. If you have multiple ways for customers to purchase from you, then you will have the revenue you want.

6. Relationships and networks are extremely important. Build a great selling team, research team, administrative team and you will have a great foundation to run on. The worth of these relationships is very important, not just how many you have.

7. The rule of likability. People need to like you before they will put their trust you and they must do this before they purchase your product.

8. The rule of communication. Communication is the most significant asset you possess. When there is good communication deals will work out, when there isn’t they will fall through.

9. The rule of perception. How your client views you can help make a sale. Perception also starts with what your employees think of their business, so help them to perceive their job responsibilities in a different light.
