How to budget for postcards | Internet Marketing Help for Small Businesses

Budgeting Yourself for Postcards

If you’ve never taken part in mailing out postcards for your business before, you might be wondering what to budget for. Here are some things to count on paying for so you can budget out your marketing expenses.

1. If you know how to design you can bring your postcard design to the printing company just by emailing it to them. Just upload your file in an email to the printers, just check with them first to make sure it’s okay and to let them know it’s coming. If you don’t have high-speed internet, only dial-up, you should send your files through an overnight mail service. If you have dial-up files can get corrupted much easier and tend to drop. The printer will not be able to print from this file.

2. So you will need to pay for the printing and also the delivery of the postcards to your company or to the business that will be in charge of mailing the cards for you. If your budget is small, you can use your personal printer to print everything. This may not be the best option because it can take a lot of time, and use up a lot of your ink supplies; cartridges are expensive and to replace them might equal the cost you would pay to get them printed.

3. The last thing to pay for is postage. You could purchase a bunch of stamps for your cards, or go to a post office to get the postage taken care of.
