A Business Questionnaire

Answer the following questions as best as you can. It should help you determine where you are at in marketing your business. There is no scoring, just answer the best you can and work on the things that need help.

1. What type of benefits you offer?

2. What do you think motivates your clients to purchase?

3. Why do you think your best customers purchased your service/product?

4. Have you ever asked your clients why they chose your business?

5. What does your service do to improve the life or work conditions of your clients?

6. Do you have profiles of your best clients?

7. Do you know where to find the biggest concentration of your best prospects?

8. Do you have a list of prospects comparable to your best customers?

9. Out of all potential clients, which ones could your product make the greatest difference?

10. How do your clients go about purchasing your service? (Or, what is your distribution system?)

11. List your competition.

12. Other than actual competitors, what other competition do you have?

13. Why are prospective clients buying from your competitors?

14. Why would or should your prospects change from your competition to you?

15. List five to ten reasons why someone should purchase your product.

16. How is your service/product different or better than others? (A unique selling point)

17. Can you reduce your selling point into a one or two sentence advertisement?

18. Have you discovered a market niche in which you are focused?

19. Do your prospects know this speciality?

20. How are you making your prospects aware of your product?

21. Do you use different marketing devices or do you use only one?

22. Is your target market getting what you are promising them?

23. If a couple of your top clients left you in the same few months what would happen to your business?

24. How much time are you spending on marketing? (should be 20-30% is already established)

25. What goals do you have for your business?

26. What obstacles are standing in the way between you and your goals?
